  1. D., I just want to give you a big old hug. I know that there are issues from your past that you are dealing with, but I also encourage you to find a few (even a very few) hopeful things.
For instance, tomorrow is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, but after that, the days will start to get longer. "Here Comes the Sun."
Be well, my brother, and namaste.

    2. Thank you, my friend. Been a busy few weeks, but getting better. My mother in law is in town, and I'm blessed to have her. She had a remarkably similar childhood to mine, full of its own madness and divorces and half-siblings, so she is more understanding and patient with me as a son-in-law than I could have wished for in a mom-in-law. My own mom and some of the socal family are up here tomorrow. Should be interesting. Stay warm. Peace out, D

    3. Well, bless your MIL, D., and I hope for the best for you with your mom's, et. al visit.
Deep yoga breaths, my brother. In, out, in, out, slowly. Try a dark room, some relaxing music, lie down, and think of a mantra, whatever works for you.
